A few weeks ago, President Obama announced the founding of the newest institute in the National Network of Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI). The American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute (ALMMII) will be led by EWI in collaboration with University of Michigan and The Ohio State University. The institute’s goal is to ensure that the U.S. is the world leader in the application of innovative lightweight metal production and component/subsystem manufacturing technologies.
