Prediction of Stress-Strain Curves as a function of Microstructure: The online tool calculates the stress-strain curves (yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, and elongation%) as a function of different ferrite morphologies in two automotive (DQSK and DF140) steels. Use the Stress-Strain Curve for Steel tool.

Spot Weld Failure

Prediction of Low-Alloy Steel Spot Weld Failure Modes: Online tool calculates the failure modes as a function of base metal, weld metal properties and the geometry of the weld nugget. The pull-out mode indicates the failure in the base metal and the shear mode indicates the failure in the weld metal region.

The online calculations are for educational purposes only and are based on published work in the literature. Some of the modules were developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and have been made available to EWI members as a part of the memorandum of understanding between ORNL and EWI.
