EWI’s Design, Controls & Automation (DCA) team designs and develops custom, automated solutions for materials joining and inspection. They lend mechanical and industrial design expertise for fixturing and tooling, and develop machinery and systems for novel joining processes and inspection.

Our engineers also develop real-time monitoring systems and provide monitoring services for materials joining processes. This includes laser-based inspection, high-speed videography, thermal imaging systems, and data acquisition of welding parameters.
