EWI would like to thank its hosts and many booth visitors at the Defense Manufacturing Conference in Orlando earlier this month. Our presentations at DMC 2013 provided an outstanding opportunity to network and gain insights to address the needs of the US Department of Defense. The great takeaway from the event – the outlook for the future of defense manufacturing is not just solid; it is quite positive.
There was an exciting buzz during the conference to continue advanced manufacturing to meet our country’s needs for the warfighter, both soldier and the various platform systems. Despite the recent sequestration and tough decisions that came with it, the defense sector is still proactively pursuing enhanced defense capabilities and requirements which, in turn, keep pushing the manufacturing envelope. Innovative options are being sought right now, and this necessitates the continued creativity and technology development within the manufacturing industry.
The annual DMC is the nation’s largest forum for sharing and leveraging the efforts of scientists, engineers, managers, technology leaders and policy makers across the defense manufacturing industrial base. This year’s gathering enabled leaders from government, industry, and academia to exchange perspectives and information about critical DoD industrial base policies, sector analyses, and manufacturing technology programs for the production and sustainment of affordable defense systems.
EWI was pleased to present some of our most innovative technologies at DMC 2013. We look forward to providing exciting options in support of our country’s defense. For information about EWI’s work in the defense sector, contact Jesse Bonfeld at 703.665.6604 or email@example.com.
