This week’s “Meet the Team” features Adam Uziel. Adam has been at EWI for one year and comes to us from the aerospace industry. His expertise outside of the aerospace industry is quickly growing during his time at EWI. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of Adam at this time and I might get in trouble for copyright infringement if I just posted a picture of Stewie from Family Guy. Please don’t hesitate to contact Adam if you have any questions or interests related to EWI or Arc Welding. You can reach him at 614.688.5000 or email@example.com.
Prior to joining EWI, Adam worked as a Welding Engineer in the aerospace industry. He has held positions at Space Exploration Technologies, Inc in Hawthorne, CA and at GKN Aerospace in Santa Ana, CA. He was responsible for welding research and development that involved evaluating and implementing new welding technology. He also provided general support that included developing new welding procedures, tooling design, and troubleshooting any manufacturing related problems. He has also managed a variety of projects that involved welded structures for large aerospace companies, government agencies, and U.S. Military.
His strengths are in implementation of automated welding equipment, procedure development, process control and quality control. He also has a background in Six Sigma and has been an integral part of implementing lean manufacturing practices. His primary welding process experience has been gas tungsten arc welding, variable polarity plasma arc welding, and orbital welding.
Background and Project Experience
Adam’s current work involves research and consulting in the area of arc welding and automation. He has experience with gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), tandem-GMAW, and industrial automation and controls.
