Meet the EWI Lab Services staff – Diane Reef

By Andy Joseph on Thursday, January 27th, 2011

EWI Lab Services is dedicated to providing complete weld testing services – including weld consumable testing per AWS A5, WPS/PQR testing for fabricators, and advanced tests like Crack Tip Opening Displacement (CTOD).  In addition to our welding, NDE, mechanical, metallurgical, and chemical testing capabilities, we also offer specialized welding consumable testing like Diffusible Hydrogen per AWS A4.3 (www.AWS.org) and ferrite determination per ASTM E562 (http://www.astm.org/Standards/E562.htm).

However, none of our capabilities would be possible without outstanding EWI Lab Services staff to perform them.   This is another in a series of blogs to focus on the best part of all of our capabilities – our people.  Previous posts can be found here: https://www.ewi.org/blog/lab_main

Diane has been with EWI for 24years.  Prior to EWI, she was a test lab technician at Owens Corning, and also retired from the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician Chief Petty Officer.   Diane also has her bachelor’s degree from Ohio State in Physical Geography!
