The ASSEMBLY Show is a premier event for engineers and manufacturing executives. The conference showcases the latest assembly technology, equipment, and products, and hosts a series of workshops and presentations led by industry experts. The 10th annual show will take place in Rosemont, Illinois, October 25-27, 2022.
This year, EWI engineering specialists will offer workshops on three strategic technologies with far-reaching applications for manufacturers:
- Metal Welding Overview for Battery Packs
Olga Eliseeva, Project Engineer for Materials, will present a comprehensive examination of ultrasonic, resistance, laser, wire bonding, and pulsed-arc welding as applied to battery packs. (Tuesday morning, 10/25) - Fundamentals of Plastics Welding
Miranda Marcus, Senior Engineer for Polymer Joining, will give an in-depth overview of plastic welding processes including ultrasonic, vibration, laser, and hot plate, and provide practical guidance on how to choose the right one for your application. (Tuesday afternoon, 10/25) - Introduction to Automation Implementation
Engineering Group Leader Matt Malloy will provide an overview of the various automation components you need to consider when introducing automation into your process, recommendations on moving your project forward, and help with understanding your return on investment. (Thursday afternoon, 10/27)
In addition, Senior Technology Leader for Polymers Jeff Ellis will present as part of panel Electric & Autonomous Vehicles: The Future is Now, a workshop that will be held Tuesday afternoon, 10/25.
EWI will also host an exhibit at ASSEMBLY 2022 where visitors can see demonstrations and results of customized technology developed to enhance manufacturing productivity and efficiency. EWI engineering leaders will be at Booth 554 to answer questions and discuss potential solutions to assembly challenges.
