EWI applications engineer Mahdi Jamshidinia was published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Materials Processing Technology in DecemberCo-authors include two other EWI engineers, Shawn Kelly and Alber Sadek, and colleagues from other institutions.

Microstructural modification of Ti-6Al-4V by using an in-situ printed heat sink in Electron Beam Melting ® (EBM) provides the results of a study where different numbers of heat sinks were designed and produced by EBM process.  The coupons were characterized by an optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, tensile and hardness tests, and fracture analysis.  Results are discussed in the article.
