Do you want to become a certified welding inspector?
This winter, EWI and the CWB Group will launch a Certified Welding Inspector Prep Course for individuals planning to take the AWS CWI/CWE exam.* The first session will be held at EWI’s New York office in Buffalo, NY, February 13-17, 2023. A second class will take place at EWI Headquarters in Columbus, OH, June 5-9, 2023.
The CWI course will cover all the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to qualify for certification including:
- Welding fundamentals and processes
- Inspection
- Metal properties and destructive testing
- Nondestructive evaluation methods
- Workmanship requirements
- Procedure qualification requirements
- Code study
- Welding inspection practicum
Both sessions will be taught by CWI Instructor Richard DePue, a senior inspector with more than 35 years of international experience across all industrial sectors. Rich holds numerous industry certifications in welding, inspection, and NDE, and has received four quality achievement awards for his work.
