EWI has a strong participation in the 2011 International Automotive Body Conference and Expo (IABC – www.bodycongress.org) which will be held at the Michigan State University (MSU) Management Education Center in Troy, MI on November 9-10, 2011. One of EWI’s senior engineers, Menachem Kimchi, Automotive Business Development Manager, will present two papers (co-authored by EWI’s Dr. Jerry Gould) entitled “Methods for Joining Dissimilar Materials” at 2:00 p.m. and “Resistance Spot Welding of Complex Stack-Ups” at 3:00 p.m. on November 10. Another EWI engineer, Dr. Hyunok Kim, Applications Engineer in Structural Integrity and Modeling, will present (co-authored by Menachem Kimchi) “Investigation of Hole-Edge Cracking for TRIP 780 Using the Structural Component Bend Test” at 11:00 a.m. on November 10. The Conference is organized by the Global Automotive Management Council (GAMC) and is a forum for engineers, managers, academic researchers, and industry executives to exchange advances in new automotive body technology and management systems.
