
Autodesk PowerMill® for Robotic Additive Manufacturing

This five-day in-person training will be taught jointly by an Autodesk certified instructor and an EWI robotic directed energy deposition (DED) expert. The course begins with hands-on classroom session exploring the Autodesk PowerMILL® additive manufacturing toolkit followed by a live demonstration on EWI’s DED additive manufacturing equipment. Attendees will earn a PowerMILL Additive Essentials certificate and learn how to identify and troubleshoot challenges in applying DED AM technology.
This course will cover:
- Additive toolpath generation using PowerMill’s automated feature construction capabilities
- Methods to adapt toolpath to geometries which cannot be programmed automatically
- Robot simulation
- Process parameter control.
- Hands-on labs including basic part generation and set up
The classroom portion will include generating real machine code with a PowerMill post-processor.
