EWI will open its doors to community visitors on October 4, 2013. This Open House is part of “Manufacturing Day 2013” events being held simultaneously throughout the nation to educate the public about breadth, depth, and strength of American manufacturing today. This coast-to-coast initiative is sponsored by the National Association of Manufacturers, the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International, the Manufacturing Institute, and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
The general public is invited to come learn about EWI’s latest innovations for manufacturing, see demonstrations of cutting-edge technology, and tour our state-of-the-art labs with EWI’s engineering and technical Associates.
EWI’s helps companies transfer new technologies to the factory floor so that products can be made faster, safer, cheaper, cleaner, smarter, and better. As Henry Cialone, EWI President and CEO, says, “It’s exciting stuff, and we’re looking forward to showing our local community — businesses, government, and neighbors — the innovative work that goes on here in Columbus.”
Two Open House sessions are scheduled on Manufacturing Day, 10:00am and 2:00pm. Advanced registration is required to attend. Space will be limited in each session to the first 40 respondents. Guests may sign up visiting www.ewi.org/events.
