EWI was recently named one of Ohio’s Best Employers for 2016 by the Ohio State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management. Winners are chosen based on an evaluation of each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Nominees must also conduct an employee survey and submit the responses as part of the selection process. This year’s award is EWI’s fifth Best Employer award since 2011.
“Attracting and keeping top-level talent is very difficult in the competitive advanced manufacturing arena,” said EWI CEO and President Henry Cialone. “As an organization, we place great emphasis on providing strong professional challenges to our high-skilled workforce, while at the same time respecting their personal and family time. We are proud to have a team of outstanding Associates who support each other, believe in our mission, and work together in a productive, collaborative environment.”
EWI employees listed several criteria that made the advanced manufacturing and technology non-profit an attractive place to work. Top criteria cited in the survey included:
• Exceptional professional atmosphere;
• High employee knowledge base;
• Flexible work schedules;
• Professional and culturally diverse staff; and
• Employees are given tools needed to succeed.
