Congratulations to EWI Associates Yu-Ping Yang, Harvey Castner, and Randy Dull, winners of the 2013 Elmer L. Hann Award from the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. The prize was established in 1991 to recognize the best paper on ship production delivered at the Ship Production Symposium, in honor of the American shipbuilding executive who was instrumental in rebuilding Japan’s industry after World War II. The award will be presented at this year’s SNAME annual meeting in Bellevue, Washington, on November 8, 2013, for the prize-winning paper, “Complex-Panel Weld Shrinkage Data Model for Neat Construction Ship Design Engineering.”
