In this week’s edition of TIME Magazine, EWI has been recognized as a player in the recent economic success of our city and region. As the Curious Capitalist notes in the column “The Columbus Comeback,” EWI is part of the economic engine making the city’s economy hum again. In the article, TIME referred to EWI as “a state-initiated, privately funded enterprise that does cutting-edge manufacturing research resembling the German Fraunhofer institutes…” thus comparing EWI to the largest application-oriented research organizations in Europe.
With a unique formula of public-private cooperation, Columbus has invested in development and created more new jobs than any other Ohio city over the past two years. Real growth is happening, and EWI is proud to be part of it! Check out the article in TIME when the October 8 issue hits newsstands tomorrow or visit http://www.time.com/time/magazine.
