This past week, EWI engineers and technicians had the pleasure of experimenting with a LECO / HIROX KH-7700 advanced 3D digital microscope. For those unfamiliar with this equipment, the HIROX is a light-microscopy tool with the ability to zoom to maginifications of up to 7,000X! In addition to this incredible capability, the unit is able to automatically ‘stack’ images to form 3D profiles … see the images below.
