Aviation Solutions
When you work with EWI, we’ll help you stay ahead of customer demand.
With decades of experience working with the biggest names in aerospace, our engineers have an extensive understanding of the industry climate.
EWI provides a range of engineering services that help aviation companies transition from feasibility studies to technology development to implementation.
As aerospace manufacturers strive to reduce their buy-to-fly ratio, EWI’s process and materials experts quickly help manufacturers identify, develop, and implement advanced processes and technologies that will improve their productivity and profitability. Our long-term collaborations with leading manufacturers give EWI a competitive advantage in several areas that can only be earned through experience:
- Laser welding and processing
- Arc welding
- Materials engineering
Identify.

WE MANUFACTURE INNOVATION.
EWI leads the way in designing and adapting manufacturing technologies for the aviation industry to reduce weight, increase fuel efficiency, and reduce material usage.
Innovation that Drives Industry
EWI helps aerospace manufacturers reduce the risks associated with developing and applying advanced technologies in the innately complex industry. We help them improve the performance, quality, and manufacturability of aircraft components while reducing life-cycle costs. Our customers include GE Aviation, GKN Aerospace, Moog, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing.
Advancing Additive Manufacturing in Aerospace
EWI develops, demonstrates, and advances metal additive manufacturing processes to enable broader adoption of the technology by industry. We find success by maintaining a holistic view of technology, focusing on metals AM technology development across the manufacturing chain, developing non-rapid prototyping uses for polymer AM products, exploring ceramics and novel material development, and operating the Additive Manufacturing Consortium.
