Jim Tighe Named CFO of the Year

September 28, 2012

SEPTEMBER 28, 2012 (COLUMBUS, OHIO) – Jim Tighe, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administrative Services at EWI, has been designated CFO of the Year for Small Organizations by Columbus Business First Newspaper.

Tighe’s award follows his nomination by EWI associates and selection by an independent panel of financial experts – and it comes as no surprise to his colleagues. “Jim’s willingness to educate our associates about corporate finances and share company financial information with them is exceptional,” says Henry Cialone, EWI President and CEO. “His interest in helping coworkers solve problems sets him apart from other CFOs.”

Tighe oversees the company’s accounting, contracts, legal services, and IT functions. He is also deeply involved in the launch of new products and innovative services, and recently helped establish two new company ventures, Fabrisonic LLC and RealWeld Systems, Inc. Prior to joining EWI in 2007, Tighe held positions at Sterling Commerce, Pathlore Software, and Ernst & Young. He received his accounting degree from Miami University.

According to Mark Matson, EWI Vice President of Human Resources, “Jim’s style of executive leadership has done a lot to enhance trust in company management. He is always finding new ways to motivate and encourage his colleagues to do their best.”

Tighe’s response: “Winning this award is really a reflection of the unbelievable people I work with. This honor belongs to EWI and the great group we have here.”
