This paper introduces the EWI Forming Center’s work to develop an intelligent servo-controlled forming process that will leverage nondestructive evaluation (NDE) techniques, real-time data acquisition, visual monitoring, and computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulation to develop a process-optimizing control algorithm.
