Introduction to Small-Scale Resistance Welding – July 17, 2013  This one-day course introduces attendees to the small-scale resistance welding process. It provides a solid background on the issues that influence resistance welding of small parts. Typical applications for these types of components are medical devices, pressure transducers, and gas sensors. The course is for those who are new to small-scale resistance welding or need to become more proficient in terminology, equipment, procedure development, and problem troubleshooting.

Fundamentals of Welding Engineering – August 5-9, 2013  This five-day course provides engineers and technicians an overview of the various aspects of welding technology. The course is organized into modules discussing welding processes, welding metallurgy and weldability, welding design and testing (including mechanical testing and NDT), and qualifications and procedure review.

Laser Welding and Equipment Fundamentals – September 19, 2013  This one-day course introduces attendees to the laser as a materials processing tool. It provides a solid background on the issues that influence day-to-day laser processing. The course is for those who are new to lasers or need to become more proficient in laser terminology, equipment, procedures development and problem troubleshooting

Introduction to Friction Stir Welding – November 6, 2013  This one-day course introduces attendees to the Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process and its derivatives; Friction Stir Spot Welding (FSSW) and Friction Stir Processing (FSP). It provides a solid background on the issues that influence the FSW process and reviews current industry applications. The course is for those who are new to the FSW process or need to become more proficient in FSW terminology, equipment, procedures development, and capabilities.
