On Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, TechColumbus will host the 2011 Innovation Awards at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The awards recognize outstanding achievements in technology and innovation in Central Ohio. Not surprisingly, EWI will be well represented at this year’s awards ceremony. Michelle Laverty, EWI’s IP Manager, is a semi-finalist in the Outstanding Woman in Technology category. Fabrisonic, an EWI spin-off that sells Ultrasonic Additive Manufacturing (UAM) equipment, is a semi-finalist in two categories: Outstanding Startup Business and Outstanding Product (for companies under 250 employees).
