New article: Getting The Most Out of Tandem Gas Metal Arc Welding
March 30, 2016
Tandem gas metal arc welding (GMAW) boasts a number of benefits over single-wire GMAW, including significantly higher travel speeds, doubled deposition rates, and reduced heat inputs; however, few manufacturers have taken full advantage of the process. EWI Applications Engineer Marc Purslow has written a paper that addresses many of the challenges commonly faced by manufacturers, discusses effective methods of overcoming these challenges, and provides examples of EWI’s innovative tandem GMAW research illustrating the effective use of these techniques.
